India, 18 December 2025 — The Indian Under-20 football team secured a decisive 3-1 victory over Kuwait in the ongoing SAFF U-20 Football Championship on Sunday. The match, held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, showcased India's burgeoning talent in the region, with forward Rohit Danu scoring two goals to steer the team to victory.
India started strong, with Danu opening the scoreboard in the 12th minute, followed by a second goal in the 35th minute. Kuwait attempted a comeback with a goal in the second half, but India's defense held strong. Substitute Aman Chetri sealed the win with a late goal in the 85th minute.
