Indian Swimmer Srihari Nataraj Shines at National Aquatic Championships

India, 30 December 2025 — Indian swimmer Srihari Nataraj delivered an impressive performance at the 75th Senior National Aquatic Championships held in Hyderabad. On Tuesday, Nataraj clinched the gold medal in the men's 100m backstroke event, setting a new national record with a time of 54.10 seconds. This achievement marks his third consecutive national title in this category.

Nataraj's performance is significant as it comes ahead of the upcoming Asian Games, where he is expected to be a strong contender for India. The meet, which commenced on 28 December, has seen participation from top swimmers across the country.

In addition to Nataraj's success, the championship has witnessed promising performances from other young swimmers, showcasing the depth of talent in India's swimming fraternity. The event continues until 3 January, featuring various swimming and diving competitions.
