India's Men's Boxing Team Secures Four Medals at Asian Championships
India, 23 December 2025 — The Indian men's boxing team has clinched four medals at the Asian Boxing Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand. The medals include one gold, two silver, and one bronze, showcasing the team's strong performance on the continental stage.
Indian boxer Akash Kumar emerged as the standout performer, securing the gold medal in the 57 kg category. Kumar displayed remarkable skill and determination throughout the tournament, culminating in a victory against Kazakhstan's Serik Tursynov in the final.
In addition to Kumar's gold, silver medals were claimed by Shiva Thapa in the 63.5 kg category and Deepak Kumar in the 51 kg category. Both boxers delivered impressive performances, reaching the finals but falling short in closely contested bouts.
