Are MKS MT-FT pedals suitable for mountain biking?

They are suitable for light trail and gravel riding, but not for aggressive downhill or enduro riding. For demanding MTB use, pedals with higher pin count and larger platform area are recommended.

How do I install the MKS MT-FT pedals correctly?

The right pedal threads in clockwise (normal) and the left pedal threads in anti-clockwise (reverse thread). Apply grease to threads before installing. Tighten to approximately 35 Nm. The reverse thread on the left is standard across all bicycle pedals.
