Frame, Fit, and Comfort

The Heist X2 (2021) is built on an AL6 Urban Cross Hybrid frame, balancing strength and comfort for city rides. Its construction allows for excellent ground clearance, so you can confidently ride over curbs without worrying about damage. During test rides, the frame handled urban challenges like potholes, bumps, and gradual climbs smoothly, and it was impressively agile in fast turns.

Equipped with a front suspension fork offering 63mm of travel, the Heist X2 is prepared for rough patches on city roads. While the lack of a lock-out feature is a slight drawback, the suspension does help absorb impact for a smoother ride.

Gearing

The Shimano Tourney and Acera derailleurs manage the Heist X2’s 2x8-Speed drivetrain. While Tourney at the front is Shimano’s basic tier, the Acera rear derailleur adds a higher-performance touch, delivering smooth, reliable gear shifts during city commutes and fitness rides.

Brakes and Steering

Equipped with Tektro Hydraulic Disc Brakes, the Heist X2 provides powerful, balanced braking on urban roads, even at high speeds. The hydraulic brakes from Tektro ensure that you can stop with confidence, making it a valuable addition for city safety.

Built for versatility, the 700x45c Schwalbe Smart Sam tires offer tread that performs well on light trails while remaining smooth and fast on city streets. These hybrid tires give you the best of both worlds, allowing for quick rolling on pavement and dependable traction on unpaved paths.

The Entity Saddle is MTB-inspired with a width and length that balance comfort and support, making longer rides enjoyable without compromising stability.
