Glamorgan Claim First Vitality Blast Win with 25-Run Triumph over Sussex

Glamorgan's first victory in the 2024 Vitality Blast came in a thrilling 25-run triumph over Sussex at Cardiff. Sam Northeast's unbeaten 61 proved crucial, while Tymal Mills' four-wicket haul restricted Glamorgan to 183 for 7.

Sussex's chase was anchored by James Coles' career-best 69 not out, but Mason Crane's economical spell of 2 for 22 proved decisive. Glamorgan's improved fielding and consistent bowling kept Sussex at bay, securing their first win of the competition.

Glamorgan's innings began with a 56-run powerplay, but wickets from Danny Lamb and Mills slowed their progress. Northeast and Colin Ingram steadied the ship with a 68-run stand, but Mills' double-strike removed both batsmen.
