Marmoush's return to Stuttgart was a memorable one, as he played a pivotal role in Frankfurt's triumph. His venomous corner kick set up Hugo Ekitike for the opening goal just before halftime. In the second half, Marmoush doubled Frankfurt's lead with a close-range finish, before adding a third with a stunning direct free-kick from 25 meters.
Despite Marmoush's heroics, Stuttgart staged a late comeback attempt. Josha Vagnoman and Nick Woltemade scored in quick succession, and Chris Fuehrich appeared to have equalized in added time. However, the goal was ruled out for offside, handing Frankfurt a hard-fought victory.

Kaderabek was booked after just eight seconds for a high elbow, equaling a record previously held by Florian Niederlechner. The early yellow card overshadowed an otherwise forgettable game, as both teams failed to find the back of the net.
