India, 22 November 2025 — India's Davis Cup team clinched a decisive victory against Morocco in the World Group I Playoffs, held in Lucknow. The home team secured the win with a 4-1 overall score, showcasing strong performances in both singles and doubles matches.
In the opening singles matches, India’s Sumit Nagal defeated Morocco's Yassine Dlimi in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, setting a positive tone for the host nation. Following Nagal’s success, Sasikumar Mukund continued India's momentum with a hard-fought victory over Adam Moundir, 7-5, 6-4.
The doubles encounter saw the Indian duo of Rohan Bopanna and Yuki Bhambri overpowering Morocco’s Elliot Benchetrit and Yassine Dlimi, securing the match 6-4, 6-2. This win not only contributed to India's overall lead but also highlighted the experienced pair's strategic prowess on the court.
